This seminar training program includes Managing of Resistive Behaviour (MORB). This seminar program is designed to meet the new Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA – Bill 168) requirements for front line staff that interact with public or other staff. This program will center on the skills required to identify and diffuse crisis situations. It is important not only to properly communicate, but also use communication to one’s advantage. Students will learn how to utilize the art of communication to deal with escalated or resistive behaviours so that physical interactions can be minimized and utilized as a last resort.
